Right on the sand of the coveted Praia do Espelho in southern Bahia, this boutique hotel with a rustic yet sophisticated atmosphere is set in a spacious, single-story house surrounded by lawns and coconut trees. Antique furniture, handicrafts, and pieces of Portuguese origin, such as porcelain and tableware, add a special and exclusive touch to each space. There are only 11 suites, meticulously decorated by the owner, designer Maria Thereza da Costa, who sought to harmonize the local natural surroundings with the interior. No two accommodations are alike, as each has its own style and décor. Some feature a soaking tub, others a whirlpool.
