Guia 7 Dias - Volume 1

rio de janeiro 9 It’s like being in the clouds – ooops, you are! But only by putting your feet on the ground and going to the hotel that you really get into he mood of Rio. Especially if you continue to the poetic South Zone and pass by spots like Flamengo, decorated by the Marina da Gloria; Botafogo Beach, sweetened by the Sugarloaf; or by Ipanema and Leblon beaches and the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. More than displaying a gorgeous landscape, the route is marked by a special energy that seems to radiate the body. It’s kind of an instant happiness, a sense of feeling like an artist among the scenarios shown by many films and soap operas and sung in verse and prose by geniuses of Brazilian music. We begin to crave for a day at the beach, a cable car ride, a stroll by the promenade. Even more be- cause the city is becoming each day more and more “in”, day and night, with plenty of mouthwater- ing cuisine options and trendy nightclubs. Not to mention the sports venues created for Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic games and brand new cul- ture hotspots, such as the Museum of Tomorrow, one of the anchors of the Port Wonder, a revitaliza- tion project targeting the city’s downtown area. However, to enjoy Rio as it deserves, we need to be calm, to organize a schedule and to follow the cadence of bossa nova, along with the typical impromptu of samba. Flow with the ryhtm and seize the stay. Ipanema e suas garotas... Ao lado, o moderno Museu do Amanhã, no Centro Ipanema and its girls...
