www.wiggle.co.ukWiggle’s in-house brand has a reputation for
quality apparel at affordable prices – and the
Aeron Roubaix Tights continue this trend. The cut
of the tights suited the tall and slight build of this
tester – snug and a good length without being
restrictive – but, if you like a more relaxed fit, you
might want to size up. The longs are fleece-lined
throughout and the braces have a mesh panel to
improve breathability. Off the bike, the chamois
is noticeably large but on longer rides you
appreciate the contoured padding. Although some
might prefer a hooped ankle, the combination of
the silicone grippers and zips aided getting the
tights on and there’s no danger of the legs riding
up. For improved visibility the Dhb logos are
reflective, with the only real criticism being that
you might appreciate thicker thigh panels for
extra warmth on the coldest days.

AQUA SPHERE
KAMELEON
£10.99
www.aquasphereswim.com/ukA quick scan of a major sports retailers’ website reveals that there are few goggles available with
such a low RRP (excluding discounts) as the new Kameleon from Aqua Sphere. The price combined
with the inclusion of a hard carry case, means there’s already a lot to like here. Our smoked lens
option (clear or blue are also available) works well in sunny conditions outdoors but isn’t too tinted
for a bright swimming pool either. In use, the soft rubber gaskets are comfortable and the fit and
visibility is good – although we did see some water ingress
during a tough club session, which meant some adjustment
was needed. Our only real gripe is the single strap design
– we would’ve preferred a split-strap design for security and
to fit around a ponytail under the swim cap.
